The Covalent Group Limited (CGL) is the parent company of a group of independently managed British-based architectural and design practices, currently including HLM, Llewelyn Davies, Sidell Gibson and 33 Interiors, providing corporate services to those established businesses currently operating in both UK and international markets.

John is a chartered accountant and former KPMG partner.
His background includes running and restructuring companies as well as providing board level commercial advice on corporate finance and strategic matters. John provides strategic expertise from outside the world of architecture adding to the Board’s diverse skill set.
Christopher has shaped HLM and now the Group since 1992 through a combination of experienced business leadership and Award - winning design.
Including the Group’s specialist presence in Custodial, Justice and Defence sectors. He is a champion of social architecture, leading the debate on current issues and challenges through thought leadership programmes and lectures in the Foresight and Innovation Group.
As HLM Chairman, Richard maintains a focus on design products and strategic business initiatives, shaping and developing collaborative practices within the Group.
An accomplished cross – sector Designer and Architect, he plays a central role in combining and connecting all Sector strengths across the Group Companies both in the UK and internationally.
David leads projects across the Commercial, Living and Communities sectors.
He brings clear and consistent values to Group work in terms of its social and contextual response to contemporary architecture; as well as ensuring that Best Practice is achieved in all aspects of efficiency, viability and sustainability across the Group.
Nick is involved in every stage of the architectural process, bringing experienced technical excellence from client brief to completion on site.
Working closely with regional teams, he has a particular focus driving operational strategy, efficiencies and controls across the Group.
Marcus has overall responsibility for the Technology strategy, road map and direction across the Group.
He represents Group Companies at all Technology levels and events, alongside developing and implementing Group Technology protocols and standards and driving the groups award winning BIM strategy at Board level.
Karen leads the Group HR Team. She is a Chartered Secretary and Managing Director of HLM.
Karen has been instrumental to the Groups expansion and acquisition programme, maintaining a strong focus on people and personal development within the Group is the driving force behind establishing the Group Academy.
Mark is the Group Finance Director, experienced in audit, corporate finance and tax, with 15 years experience in working within Architecture and Design businesses.
Mark is responsible for the day-to- day management of all the finance function, and maintains an effective link between Group Companies, the regional management teams and the Board.
